I once heard an old timer say, “It’s great to have many years sober, but recovery is really about quality, not quantity.” This really made me stop and think about what constitutes quality recovery. When we see someone who has the kind of recovery we want, what are the aspects of how that person lives life that makes their recovery attractive to us? I would love to hear what the rest of you think.

    • Agree completely with the old timer! We put too much emphasis on time. I used to admire people who had what “I wanted.” Now I admire people who have what “THEY want.” So I would say one of those qualities for me would be contentment.

    • You guys act like you know something about this stuff!!! LOL! maybe a little huh?

    • I’m going to say peaceful. I didn’t know what contentment meant so I had to look it up. 🤦‍♀️ Found this definition:Contentment is an emotional state of satisfaction that can be seen as a mental state, maybe drawn from being at ease in one’s situation, body and mind. That’s a good one too @rich!
