Galatians 6:1 ( Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.) This verse in an awesome reminder to us all. The bible tells us no man is without sin, no not one and we all fall short of the glory of God. But oh how easy it is to quickly point out the faults of another! Sometimes I have to remind myself that not everyone is where I’m at on my spiritual or recovery journey. We are all, in fact, learning. It’s easier for me to look at my peers and think they are doing it wrong and maybe even call them out on things. So it’s important for me to remember that whole “spirit of meekness”. We in recovery need to hold one another accountable but how we do it could have a permanent affect on each other. So remember, it says “restore” and not “destroy”. Big difference.
