    • Tiffany, I want you to know that even though you and I do not know each other, that I am extremely proud of you!!! You have taken the first and the hardest steps toward recovery for your addiction, whatever that may be. You have truly admitted to yourself that something is wrong (the addiction), that it is causing you and/or your loved ones dysfunction and stress, that you’ve been making excuses when you’ve tried to get into recovery before, but didn’t really want to, told yourself that “this is it, I have to,.”, you truly realized that you had to make a change, you truly made an effort into making a change, and are committing yourself to recovery and staying clean. Admitting and making the initial changes are the hardest parts of addiction (or any type of addiction-like behavior) recovery, and you have done those already, so everything else from here is easy. After Day One of Recovery/Soberity, it just gets easier, you just have to be strong, which clearly, you are, you’ve come and gotten thus far, distract yourself, know and tell yourself your inner worth, create and/or strengthen your Relationship With God, that often helps in the addiction recovery process, think about the reasons-both people/things and (inner)personal that you realized you had to make a change-why did you start addiction recovery?, when you feel like relapsing. Tiffany, you have more potential than you think you do.
