I just would like to shed some gratitude on stepworks (London). In 23 more days by the Grace of God I get there I will have a year clean. Look when I came into the house I didn’t want to be there and thought about leaving numerous of times. Waking up the next morning instantly in detox mode a sense of desperation kicked in and planted my feet still for the next 30 days. I was one of the quietest ones there for 3 weeks and honestly most probably thought I was just going through the motions. My counselor acted like she liked the confidence I had in myself that I was done but I could tell a little worried as well. I truly believe once the pain is great enough and you get a taste of sobriety it will never leave your mind even if you return back to the chaos. But the staff that welcomed me with open arms and took me through the classes and inserted more knowledge of the programs’ in my mind is what I’m so thankful for. I mean I knew the big book before I came , I worked the steps, but what I missed the first go around was the spiritual side of the program. Which many will say you either get or you don’t and if you don’t your kinda doomed. I just want everyone of the staff members that encountered my journey there all played a role in where I am at today. Life is worth it, your worth it, and recovery is amazing thanks all of you!
