HORRIBLE IDEA!!

As addicts in recovery, it is never a good idea to willingly place ourselves around substances. If you are around someone using substances daily, the truth is, the chance is greater that that person will get you high before you get them clean. You have probably made some great changes and worked hard to be free from substances for 227 days, why would you risk losing that my friend? Just to be around someone in active addiction threatens your peace of mind and your recovery. Hopefully you make the healthy decision for yourself and step away. Maybe, from a distance, you can share your experience with what has kept you clean for 227 days with him. If he is willing to attempt what you have done thus far, then at least you can be of service to someone that you care about! We can’t risk our freedom by choosing to still be around others in active addiction! My suggestion is to step away from the situation and if you pray, pray for him. Thanks for reaching out my friend!
