I have diabetes, Going through a changeover with insurance company so instead of the pens for 400 bucks I’m getting it for 200 cheaper but I have to get the vile which means syringes will be back in my house it’s been years since I’ve used that way and my bf is going to keep them in the lock box but I’m not going to lie it makes me nervous…..

@kaylav1986 That sounds like a healthy fear and it sounds like you’re making a plan to address it. Sharing with us and your boyfriend is a great start! I would be sure to include your doctor and your sponsor too. I would also like to highlight the progress you’ve made in your recovery by being able to recognize that, then share it, then make a plan instead of the alternative that would have occurred prior to entering recovery! That’s a huge transformation!

Look into insulin pin needles, it has a different appearance and may help to not be so triggering. Insurance should cover them.
