What’s up guys, I’m a three time alumni from Stepworks. Yes I took it literal when they said “keep coming back”. I’m so thankful for the team at stepworks, giving me a foundation in step one was huge , this is the only step thy we must 100% do! The idea has to be completely smashed that we can drink successfully. If you don’t think so you can be a three time alumni too, if you make it back. Now I’m little over two years sober, have a beautiful God sent wife, and have visitations with my son set through the court. Take a suggestion, be honest, openminded, and willing to a new way of life. If you don’t believe me seek it out yourself what keeps landing you in jail, and institutions. Love you all and hit me up anytime, who knows it may help you stay sober today, I know it will help me stay sober today!

Well I'm back after three years. Relapsed on the 16th (two days ago). I was mainly sad of disappointment. I feel better today. I think I'm lacking a sober community.

I once heard an old timer say, "It's great to have many years sober, but recovery is really about quality, not quantity." This really made me stop and think about what constitutes quality recovery. When we see someone who has the kind of recovery we want, what are the aspects of how that person lives life that makes their recovery attractive to us? I would love to hear what the rest of you think.

Im guessing no one uses this app anymore. I haven't seen much action. They gave me a lifetime membership the last time i was at stepworks. I wish i could find somthing that would actually work for me. Im guessing its me thats going to work for me, that or death, the one thing that we all get sober for. Its fucking rough. It seems the only thing I can feel is that for certain is that uncertaintie. Seems the only thing. Thats a certain thing...

Life is such a precious thing   You are a miracle with every smile you bring   yes the sun will rise and set, that is a blessing from above  we all walk with hour glasses unsure of when we’ll go—so we love  yes love is life and life is full of love life   We make our own realities by being true to thine own self . so this is the way we strive to live  Life is such a precious thing . It is all in your perspective.  Michelle B.

Got back from Arizona, plane was delayed, phone was stolen and other reasons to get upset, thanks to the principles I learned at Stepworks I stayed calm, made the flight and amazingly phone was returned to me by a user!!? Stayed calm, and now I can proudly look back and see how silly all the anxiety was!!! GOD GOT THIS Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

December 28 Depression “We are no longer fighting fear, anger, guilt, self-pity, or depression.” Basic Text, p. 27 ––––=–––– As addicts, many of us experience depression from time to time. When we feel depressed, we may be tempted to isolate ourselves. However, if we do this, our depression may turn to despair. We can’t afford to let depression lead us back to using. Instead, we try to go about the routine of our lives. We make meeting attendance and contact with our sponsor top priorities. Sharing with others about our feelings may let us know we aren’t the only ones who have been depressed in recovery. Working with a newcomer can work wonders for our own state of mind. And, most importantly, prayer and meditation can help us tap the power we need to survive depression. We practice acceptance and remember that feelings like depression will unquestionably pass in time. Rather than struggle with our feelings, we accept them and ask for the strength to walk through them. ––––=–––– Just for today: I accept that my feelings of depression won’t last forever. I will talk openly about my feelings with my sponsor or another person who understands.
